Wayfinding 

The Spring Valley campus required a new signage system that was ADA accessible, multilingual, aligned with CMC’s brand, and adaptable as a design guide for future campuses. Graphic Design students spent a semester developing this system and its guidelines, using Spring Valley as the pilot project.
 

This inclusive, forward-thinking wayfinding system was created in collaboration with the Spring 2025 Typography class under the guidance of instructor Catherine Schmitz. Developed through extensive research, expert consultation, and collective creativity, the signage ensures accessibility, cultural equity, and clarity. The final result is a thoughtful, user-centered typography system that balances innovation with best practices, serving as both a functional solution and a replicable model for the future.
